TECHNICAL DATA

The AHRENS lining system has been successfully tested by Underwriters Laboratories to the UL1777 Standard and is listed for use in masonry chimneys with zero-clearance to combustible materials. Combustible building materials can actually touch the chimneys exterior surface. The testing consisted of thermal shock, heat test, freeze/thaw, compressive strength, acid resistancy and a sweep test. UL Reference No. MH12272

SIZE AND HEIGHT

The AHRENS chimney lining system is normally capable of lining round flues from 4 inches to 4 feet in diameter or oblong equivalents up to a height of 250 feet. Additional sizes, shapes and heights are available to address special needs.

FUEL

The AHRENS system is considered an "all fuel" liner designed to vent appliances that burn gas, oil, wood, coal and densified fuels. Call manufacturer for special venting needs.

MANUFACTURERS LIMITED WARRANTY

AHRENS offers a warranty on materials which may vary from one year to the lifetime of the product depending on application. Consult your installing dealer or manufacturer for details.


LIMITATIONS

For the AHRENS chimney lining system to be a UL Listed system it must be used on masonry chimneys for residential and commercial low-heat appliances only, as outlined in NFPA 211.

The AHRENS chimney lining method can be utilized for special needs such as high-temperature applications up to 3000 F. and for historical situations needing any one of our specially designed mixtures.

AHRENS chimney lining system is recommended to have a minimum of 1 1/2" liner wall thickness for optimal strength and performance. For special situations, wall thickness may be varied.

AHRENS Chimney lining system shall be installed by a certified AHRENS dealer in compliance with the AHRENS instruction manual.
