SPECIFICATION Furnish and install a UL Listed 2-Liner poured-in-place chimney lining system as manufactured by AHRENS Chimney Technique, 2000 industrial Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 (1-800-843-4417). The First Liner of the 2-Liner system must be lightweight cementitious insulating material of zero slump consistency, applied under horizontal pressure and capable of insulating and adding structural strength to the chimney. The first liner will be formed with a/an ________ (round or oblong) shaped bell form ________ (diameter or oblong bell dimension) with a minimum cross-sectional area of ________ sq. in. Flue size must be determined by charts or engineering methods to assure proper performance. The Second Liner of the 2-Liner system must be a cementitious protective glazing that is acid and moisture resistant. The Second Liner must be installed in accordance with manufacturers installation instructions. Chimney preparation requires that the inside of the chimney must be cleaned and reasonably free from exhaust by-product residue before product is installed. The chimney liner must be U.L. Listed by Underwriters Laboratories to the UL1777 zero-clearance standard and capable of service for appliances that produce 1000 F. or less outlet temperature listed in NFPA 211 Column I & II of Table 1-2(a) " Chimney Selection Chart. " Installations must be made by an authorized factory trained technician or dealer.
